Staff roles explained

Slava comes with five starting role types you can assign to any staff member — a quick way to label what someone does, before you even think about login access.

Why this matters

Labeling roles clearly makes your staff list easier to scan at a glance, and it's the foundation for permissions — a role is what determines what a staff member can see and do once they have a login.

The 5 roles

Senior StylistYour most experienced cutting/styling staff.
ColoristStaff specializing in color services.
EstheticianSkin and beauty treatment specialists.
Junior StylistNewer stylists, often assisting or building a client base.
ReceptionistFront-desk staff handling bookings and check-ins rather than services.

Assigning a role

  1. Open Staff

    From the main navigation.

  2. Add or edit a team member

Add a new person, or open an existing one.

  3. Pick their role

    Choose from the five options.

  4. Save

Their role now shows on the staff list and calendar.

A role by itself doesn't grant a login — that's a separate step, covered in Granting login access.
