Setting a time slot
Whether you're booking manually or approving a self-booked request, Slava calculates real available times for you — it never shows you a slot that's already taken.
Why this matters
Double-booking a stylist is one of the fastest ways to frustrate both staff and clients. Instead of you having to check a calendar by eye, Slava works out what's actually open based on your salon's hours, breaks, and each staff member's existing appointments.
How availability is calculated
Slava looks at several things together before it offers you a time:
Working hours & Sunday ruleYour salon's opening hours, including any special Sunday hours or closure.
Breaks & holidaysTime blocked off for lunch or days you're closed.
Slot duration & bufferHow long each slot is, plus any gap you want between appointments.
Minimum notice & advance windowHow last-minute a booking can be, and how far ahead clients can book.
That staff member's existing appointmentsOnly genuinely free time is shown — Booked and Pending appointments block a slot; Cancelled and No-Show free it back up.
Booking a slot manually
- Open Clients → Calendar
Or start from a client's profile with “Book Appointment.”
- Pick the service and staff member
Available times are calculated just for that combination.
- Choose a time
Only genuinely open slots are shown — nothing you pick can double-book.
- Confirm
The appointment is added straight to the calendar with status Booked.
These same working-hours and break rules are what power the self-serve QR booking flow too, so clients booking themselves see exactly the same real availability you do.
