Client status system

Every client sits in one of seven statuses, and most move through them automatically as their relationship with your salon develops — you don't have to manage this by hand.

Why this matters

Knowing at a glance who's a brand-new lead versus a loyal VIP changes how you'd want to treat them — a status system means your whole team sees the same picture without you having to explain each client's history individually.

The 7 statuses

LeadSomeone who's shown interest but hasn't booked yet.
BookedHas an upcoming appointment on the calendar.
CustomerHas completed at least one visit.
VIPTagged as a top client — usually your most loyal or highest-spending regulars.
InactiveHasn't booked in a while.
CancelledTheir most recent booking was cancelled.
CompletedFinished a visit, with just one visit on record so far.

Working with statuses

  1. Let it update automatically

Most status changes happen on their own as clients book, visit, or go quiet — no manual step needed.

  2. Tag a client VIP

Open their profile and add the VIP tag yourself when you want to flag a top client.

  3. Use status in Quick Filters

Jump straight to just your Leads, just your VIPs, or just Inactive clients you might want to win back.
